Slalom

Slalom was the most popular form of high-wind sailing in the 80's and early 90's, but the discipline gradually declined due to the very complex equipment quiver needed to stay at top level in various conditions and wind speeds. Today's boards and sails have a much broader range, and only one board and two sails will be sufficient to compete at top international level. Slalom is back on the international racing scene and is no longer a high wind discipline only, but can be comfortably organized in wind speeds down to 12 knots or even less.

The thrill of share board speed, high speed jybes and close encounters among the competitors makes slalom one of the most exciting aspects of the sport.
